How To Grad School is
built for grad students by a teaching and learning expert
(and former grad student).
Hello! I'm Sarah Davis, and after I finished my PhD in 2020, I knew I wanted to help grad students.

There were many moments as a grad student where I wished I had a resource like How To Grad School to learn effective learning strategies that match the complexity of grad school learning AND that were independent of my institution.
And, when I couldn't find it, I created it!
I offer free resources, such as the blog, newsletter, and podcast, as well as paid services, such as registered clinical counselling (residents of BC only) and academic strategy sessions (residents of Canada only) for grad students who need support with their mental health and want to work with a counsellor who also has experience being a grad student.
Free Resources
The How To Grad School podcast brings evidence-based learning strategies to help you grad school more effectively and efficiently, with a little bit of fun on the side!
